Cardnet in DR is very keen to hang on to their commission in my experience. If there is a dispute, they give the hotel a set time to respond, but I have experiences of not responding in the set time, and a couple of weeks later Cardnet has still not reversed the transaction. I get the impression it is very hard to win if you dispute Dominican transactions.
