Hotel in Santo Domingo

Can anyone recommend a decent hotel in Santo Domingo that is on the cheaper side, we are looking for something that is around $50 per night maybe a bit more.. but basically we would just like it to be centrally located and be safe and clean.
Can anyone recommend anything.
