This hotel - San Marco - is in the Zona Universitaria. Does anyone know of it. any thoughts on it?

i checked in - the aircon after several hours is still weak as hell - would have been nice to have it working well after a night walking about ... enjoyed my colmado experience, but since my spanish is so bad i'm not getting as much out of this as i could

I'm paying $70 dollars. I'm comparing to what I would get in the Philippines for the same price and it's a slap2.

i do have a double - maybe i'm just bitter cuz i have no one to share it with.

i do like the feel of SD but this 2 week vacation in DR won't be the budget i was hoping on. i'm going to have fun and learn spanish - i am her for God's sake.

bad choice as far as the hotel is concerned! You can find lots of hotels for around 30 US$ with a WORKING air conditioning! In the Zona Universitaria for example there is Aparta Hotel Plaza del Sol, really nice hotel for around 35 US$, very spacious rooms and air conditioning.

thanks for the info. on my return to SD next week, i may look into it, but i may stay down in la zona colonial then.
