I stayed at the Windsurf about 10 times. They have 60 rooms and are in Caberete.

Offseason I am guessing $45 and up. High season, maybe $90 and up.

Also what is the cost of Taxi from POP to Cabarete these days, I have seen cost of $20 and $25, even $8 if you are Dominican
Does it make sense to take a bus from POP to Cabarete?? If so how how would one do this?

I stayed there, very nice place. The owner is great. Take the public cars and pay 20 pesos. Take the Gwa Gwa as well.

I can't list them all, but they include Coconut Palms & Mariposa.

You can try the Sans Souci Beach Hotel and Apartments.
You can get abeach front room at Cabarete for $15US/per/person.
Balcony, ocean view, safe, refidgerator, stove, and same pot and dishes.

Sans Souci Beach Hotel and Apartments is in Cabarete at the Bozo beach. This beach is most suitable for windsurfers. not for kiting and wavesurfing.
Hooked Cabarete is located in Vista del Caribe close to Encuentro were you can wavesurf and kite. rooms are from $150.-/wk. incl. pick-up from airport/kitchen/breakfast/pool/atvs/kitetrips etc. etc.
