What? You guys pay???

On tipping: If you really want people to remember you, go to a bank in the states and get 100 dollars in 2 dollar bills. Hand those out for tips.

Those people will NEVER forget you..

Are you serious about the two dollar notes?

Excuse me... am/was I asking something?

OK... I'll ask... why don't YOU read the whole thread, OP and answers, so you don't confuse what OP says, what poster X says and what rubio_higuey says. Thank you. Have a nice new year.

Me upset today from people that skim and read every 5th post, and reply usually out of line.

You are correct you did ask a direct question. My mistake:ermm: in not asking for a clarification as to where you were planning to stay in the DR.

The cost is not the same in Sousa, a tourist town, as it would be in Nagua which has very few tourist bars and hotels.

Even in Puerto Plata the price is dramatically different between Cristals which is a tourist club and the Consulado which is a Dominican club.

Further afield in small towns from Espranza to Consuelo the prices would be lower still. That goes for both drinks and chicas in all cases.

OK, am I in a bad dram or something?

Do you actually read what you write? Do you actually make connections among what one and other posters write? Do you differentiate between the OP and a poster responding to the OP?

AGAIN,

I HAVE NOT, REPEAT, HAVE NOT ASKED any question about cueros or their costs or where to get them, WHATSOEVER, on this thread. I RESPONDED to a question by the OP. I GAVE information, NOT ASKED for one. I don't pay for cueros, I don't seek out cueros.

If you still cannot get this... I give up.

DominicanBilly is like the most chilled out guy, no need to explode on him like that, ignore the thread totally if it irks you this much.

preparations are gold apparently

In Higuey the approximate rates are: RD$ + salida (usually 200 or 300 pesos)

barrio puta houses, and barrio chopas - 300 -500 pesos
regular drinking establishemnts, terazzas, disco clubs, - 700-1000 pesos
higer establishements - over 1000 pesos

Those are dominican rates .... if you're agringo with no Spanish, remove one zero, but calculate in dollars.

I guess that provides incentive to take a crash course in language and local customs before heading south (or west depending on geographical origin...):cheeky:
