How to tell : puta or chica seria ?

Hi to all !

I've met a girl on my first trip this year. She is working in a bar a la playa Sosua.
I spent some time with her and had fun. I've not fallen for her and I consider her like a good friend.
She kept telling me "i'm not a puta, i don't go with all the tourists who ask for me, bla bla bla.

After a lot of reading and talking with others tourists and Dominicans, I realized that 95% of the girls you meet in Sosua are some sort of puta. I don't want to judge peoples and what they do for survive ( i know the time are tough there, even more for a single mother), but I really like honesty. If you're a puta, you tell me and i will find if we stay friends, no problem. It's your life. But, I hate lies and for what i've seen, it seems to be pretty common for Dominican.

So, my question : How to tell if she lies to me and is a puta or no. I don't want private investigation, just some things to look for and discover the truth ( and getting to know her better by the way ).

Pretty Cut and Dried Approach

After a lot of reading and talking with others tourists and Dominicans, I realized that 95% of the girls you meet in Sosua are some sort of puta.

You know "puta" is a VERY offensive term for someone you allegedly know and like. If you are asking does she maybe see other guys ( and did she sleep with you and did you give her money?) she probably isn't a chica seria as you put it, but if I were her and knew you were phrasing this issue in such a mean way I'd dump like you the creep you appear to be.

She could be desperate and probably is but what a terrible start to what you are trying to make out as some sort of relationship with all your DR experience (one trip). I do know girls who maybe take "gifts" from guys for whatever reason and I have NEVER referred to them to their face or other as "putas".
