Hi Everyone,

Me and my girlfriend want to go to Hoyo Azul and also do the Zip Line, any advice on the cost, directions, and what to be careful with.
We are leaving from Santo Domingo, and planning on going in my own car.

Thanks in advance

location is Cap Cana, easy to find when coming from Santo Domingo.
at the end of the coral highway you enter a huuuuge turnaround.
pass it straight on, the exit for the PC airport.
after that turn towards the airport, you reach just a 200 meters later a crossing.
here you take a right turn.
now follow this street, it ends at the Cap Cana Mainentrance.
take way descriptions from the security staff there at the gate as to how to reach your looked for destin.
they will keep your cedula there at the gate.
Hoyo Azul can be visited on your own at any daytime.
i don't know if you need a booking for the zipline.
ask about their zip line shedules and prices directly on their website

Mike at one time Hoyo Azul was free my understanding? But now you have to PAY to even see it? Is that correct.. Because I wanted to go too on my next trip..

on hoyo azul i am not sure if you pay a fee or just visit.
when we been there a longer while ago, it was free, no kinda ticket booth or such thing.
what i meant with prices above, been for zip-line and all the other activities offered there by Scape Park.

Wow, $149USD for one person for one day. Ouch.

Lawd only knows what they would charge for a bottle of water or a meal.

The twin pack pricing of $109 is no bargain but not that bad. I would do the horseback ride and the zip line. If doing this as a day trip from SD that would fill up your day so you can get back into town before dark, or so I think.

the hoyo azul is shown for $59.- per person.
i am well surprised about such steep price for just a 2hrs walk which includes absolutely nothing, no food no nada.
honestly, for that price $59.-/adults and $35.- children,
absolutely NOT worth the money spent
this is a short in between activity worth a 10 bucks entrance fee plus a tip for a guide who explains you Mom natuire on the way, but their shown prices are out of this world

lol
and the fishing would come on per hr bases on a big offshore fishing yacht even cheaper!
$59.- per person, that's $354.- for a group/family of 6 for 2hrs, $177.- per hour.
a half day 4hrs charter, split between 6 of a family/group, on the 38ft'er costs just $690.-, or $172.50.- per hr.
3/4 6hrs day would knock the hourly rate down to just $165.-
and you would have drinkets, including cold German Beers, included on board, lol.

You can go to Ojos Indigenas is similar to Hoyo Azul, and someone mentioned it was 10USD entrance.
