In Miami I use Claro roaming all the time, and it works flawlessly for me. You need to change the setting from automatic to either A T and T or T Mobile.

Yes it does start with 48575, and yes I used upper case for the letters.

Then the password was changed from factory default. You can press reset button for 10-15 seconds to reset the modem to original settings and then use the the serial number as user name and password.
