Is this supposed to have some meaning of some kind or comes from a weird sense of humor?

Don't know either, but reading the undertones, babies are not born evil, this is a trait that has to be instilled in them from an early age, either by example of others or as part of an education programme. Solution cut the evil at source, may take a generation or two to extinguish the last of the flame, but in the end goodness shall prevail.
