I have had Chicago style pizza in Chicago. I liked it,but nowhere near as much as I like the style from the Northeast. I am sure part of that was "growing up with it" but most of it is that it is simply great. And great pizza is not to be found here for the reasons mentioned above about the preparation of the dough, the ovens and the sauce.

Why don't you try this one? I liked several pizzas and many German and Belgian beers a lot:

Italian Rest. "La Bolognese", Calle Prof. Hernandez # 10, Los Jardines, Santiago, tel.: 809 276 2600

Comming from the Estrella Sadhala turn into the street right next to Hotel/Casino El Gran Amirante and turn left at te corner from Hotel Los Jardines, Av. Texas, now called Padre Dubert . Then turn at the first street to the right and there it is.

There is a good Chinese restaurant on av. Duarte just before Las Carreras (Chino Super Rico) - not sure if they deliver, will check next time I am there.

I went to one on autopista duarte near KFC and I had chicken with brocolli and pork fried rice to go.
I was willing to order from them if they deliver and they said they don't deliver.

If you can get a $20 pizza stone(maybe IKEA??) they do wonders for frozen pizza. It would prob be better than most local places and about half the cost.

Koreano - there's a dominoes around the corner from your house, right below Rafael Vidal on Juan Pable Duarte (across from the gas station). They'll deliver. Also Papa John's delivers to your area.

The chinese place next to the Banco Popular on Avenida 27 de Feb. (next to Nacional) has excellent food, but you have to tell them :estilo chino, no dominicano" and they deliver. YUM

Thanks for this. I don't know how I have missed it. I guess my minds already in my office and I usally take another way home. I'll check it out when I pass it. I guess I'll have to find where Papa John's is because I haven't seen it yet.

Best Pizza going on right now in Santiago is Monchi's. It is New York style, and he does a bustling trade. It is at the end of Juan Pablo Duarte, near the Instituto J.F.K. Good stuff, trust me, garlic knots and all.

I know most are not from P.C., but there's a little place called Non Solo Pizza that has very good pizza... very similar to the pizzas I've had in Rome. I guess you just have to search out the places that are good.

Papi John's is located in the Bella Tierra Plaza. I am sure that they will deliver to your house.
