not saying this is the case(but i, too have my suspicions) but if i had a hotel i wanted to plug i could certainly come up with a few friends and family from various areas to write reviews that have never stayed there. and i could even send them some pretty pictures to post to make it seem legit. i am sure william is quite a charmer when need be(comes with the trades he's been involved in) so i am quite sure some of the reviews are legit, but it seems if you were to get on his bad side you would never hear the end of it. such people are to be avoided. i would personally not say anything bad against his hotel as i have never stayed there and i am sure greg feels the same way but fair warning to unsuspecting travellers dependant on TA reviews about suspicious behavior is commendable and what the forum is all about.... ben
Exactly Ben,
I have never said anything bad about Casa Blanca... I've never stayed there, never seen it nor never met William; (nor do I care to)
BUT
I have personally seen his erratic behavior (postings) on several traveler boards and DR forums; have been contacted by one lady who felt threatened by his PMs after a less than stellar review; have personally received SPAM by PM on TA about his property and seen many, many absolutely bizarre postings on a variety of topics by him over the span of several years.
In addition I have my own opinion about the veracity of many of the so-called reviews praising his property; an opinion which I admit I cannot support by direct proof; at this time. I fully expect in a future fit of rage William will let slip something more substantive to my support my suspicions, but time will tell.
I suppose in some altered dimension I could overlook all of this but not in the real world - I cannot and will not recommend this property solely due to the owner's less than professional handling of a variety of situations, over time.
For me that is enough.
