That if you have been diagnosed as having diabetes, there is no way you can get health insurance in the DR?

Meaning treatment for those illness may not be covered for the first 12 months of the plan. I believe it is in your best interest to research this as health services are extremely vital especially when living abroad. Let the insurance companies tell you "no," and dont sell yourself short based on someone elses opinnion. However, I dont think its going to cheap. Good luck to you.
