You found my spot.......LOLJust got 5 Marbetes in La Nacional (Friusa, Bavaro),15minutes in the A/C and good for another year.
You do NOT need a Cedula or anything other than a copy of your Matricula.................People go in with 10 for others with only copies of Matriculas.............Just got one yesterday and no mention of anything other than the copy and money...........Car owners without cedulas….they can send someone/anyone with a cedula and a copy of their matricula to get their marbete. We never go ourselves.
And that is true.Car owners without cedulas….they can send someone/anyone with a cedula and a copy of their matricula to get their marbete. We never go ourselves.
Wrong. Please read what I wrote above again. You do NOT need a Cedula or anything other than a copy of your Matricula.................People go in with 10 for others with only copies of Matriculas.............Just got one yesterday and no mention of anything other than the copy and money...........
Come to the Nacional at Fruisa without anything other than the copy and the money and I will proove YOU WRONG............Some people working in these places have NO clue. But I can take you to places in addition to the one I mentioned that do NOT want a Cedula..........Wrong. Please read what I wrote above again.
A cedula is required for those purchasing a Marbete. I was told that specifically at La Nacional.
Since my cedula was already in the system and he could look me up, I did not have to show it because I was already in the
data base with my (and my wife's) pictures for our respective cars.
As AE. mentioned, ANYONE with a cedula can purchase a Marbete for another person. I was also told that when I asked about vehicle owners who don't have a cedula. Silly, but that is the fact.
I have never been asked to show my cedula, or before I had it, my passport, when getting my Marbete. And presumably I go to the same place as you do, in Sosua.Wrong. Please read what I wrote above again.

Do you have a cedula? If so, it is already linked in their database and no need to ask. They did not ask for mine nor my wife's , nor did they ever before that I can recall, When I asked why he did not ask the teller at La Nacional in Sosua told me because it was already linked to the cars we own. I bet you used a cedula if you purchased a car during the initial filing for the title.I have never been asked to show my cedula, or before I had it, my passport, when getting my Marbete. And that is a for sure thing here. Just because it is required, it doesn't mean it will be.As we all know everyone's experience is different. What one location requires may not happen at another location. This is nothing new in the DR.
Yes, but before that I used my passport and I certainly don't remember being asked for it.Do you have a cedula? If so, it is already linked in their database and no need to ask. He told me that if someone does not have a cedula at all, they cannot buy the revista. But anyone with a cedula can buy it for them. This is the DR, don't ask for it to make any sense.
Rules can change. I can only relate what I was told at La Nacional in Sosua, just as I was told it while asking questions for clarification.Yes, but before that I used my passport and I certainly don't remember being asked for it.
Straight from the horse's mouth:From the Govt.
Para realizar la renovación en cualquiera de las entidades disponibles, así como para la recepción de las órdenes realizadas vía web, es indispensable poseer la fotocopia de la matrícula del vehículo a renovar, actualizada, legible y en buen estado.
Translated to English.
To carry out the renewal in any of the available entities, as well as to receive orders placed via the web, it is essential to have a photocopy of the license plate of the vehicle to be renewed, updated, legible and in good condition.
No mention of a Cedula or anything else.................
It was sort of a trick question. Read the second sentence.I think, but I am not certain, that is because you ordered it online and they do not want to hand it over to the wrong person.
My confirmation of ordering online, is in my name, but the car is not.
