International Student Volunteers has been active for the past few years here in the DR. They bring in several hundred college students every year who spend a month on the Island, two weeks doing community work (construction, education, ecology), and two weeks on an adventure tour (rafting, canyoning, surfing, etc). They work in the bateyes near Montellano, Rio Blanco (on the Moca Road), and with Habitat for Humanity in Nagua.

I have been filming them this summer, and have made several clips available on my videoblog. ISV is doing some great work here!
