Because Scotland has done a much better job of controlling this virus, we have different governments and at the moment you can't cross the border and i think they will bring in 2 weeks quarantine for arrivals from England. Scotland gets caught up in the UK figures but the problem in the UK figures is England not Scotland Wales or Northern Ireland. England is led by a baffoon

This is what is in effect as of 1 July 2020:

There will be temperature checking at the airport. Nevertheless, there are no restrictions for arriving passengers. That is, no PCR or testing certificates are required. There will be no quarantine for arriving passengers, with the exception of those that test positive for fever upon arrival.

The curfew is lifted. Mobility is authorized at all times.

Restaurants are authorized to serve patrons until 10pm, afterwards by takeout or delivery. They are under new protocols.
Discos, casinos, cockfighting, movie houses and theaters are still closed.



"International travel does not begin until JULY 5/20.
I would suggest you check the DR airports on the 5th to see if any planes are in fact landing. All airlines that fly here have shown regularly scheduled flight through the pandemic but are cancelled daily.

Thank you for your helpful advice, it gave me a kick up the arse to make a decision on if I should return this winter. I have booked to go to Cuba for the winter land 1st November and back 28th February, they have done a really good job of controlling this virus and they need the money too. There will be no covid19 infected Americans rubbing shoulders with me in the tourist facilities there. This will be the first winter since 2009 that I have not spent winter in Republica Dominicana
