This is the guy that has successfully built the “Patio” shopping centers in many areas of suburban Santo Domingo (Patio Colombia, Patio del Norte, etc) and is currently building Patio Embajada near the US Embassy and will be creating more Patio shopping centers around Santo Domingo. His is also working on The Six, which I think is his most ambitious project yet. It consist of a shopping center and 6 towers of apartments in SD Norte. This is the area exploding with middle class catering residential communities and following them are businesses that cater to them that usually you don’t find on SD Norte (Bravo, etc.) Would be interesting to see how much success this ambitious project will have. He seems to have found the sweet spot regarding small shopping centers, but lets see if this translate to the residential part.
The apartments will be sold, but the shopping center will function like all previous Patio’s, he keeps ownership if the plaza and rents out the commercial spaces.
