Has anyone stayed at any hotels in Jarabacoa that is not the Rancho Baiguate or Pinar Dorada. We are going to be spending 2 nights in Jarabacoa and are looking for a nice, clean & safe hotel there that doesn't charge outrageous prices.

Hi,

I have stayed at the Hotel California. It's on the road to Constanza (same main road as to Pinar Dorado which is quite close). It's safe, clean with quite large rooms with a double bed and bathroom. Don't expect any service or decor or anything 'cosy'. But for a simple clean place to stay it's fine. Unfortunately I don't have the phone number there. It's run by a Dutch (?) guy who speaks English. The price for a room is about 20$ a night. Good luck! And enjoy Jarabacoa - a very special and beautiful place. Oh - and don't miss the crowds and the fun in El Parque on Saturday and Sunday nights!

When you get to the town about the new Gran Jimenoa Hotel (or something like that name), on the Jimenoa waterfall. I don't know if it is cheaper than Rancho Baiguate or Pinar Dorado, but from a video I saw seems like quite an impressive view from hotel rooms. You should have no trouble finding room if you go on a week day.

Montanas Inn is on the way into town and is in a beautiful location, and the place Alfonso metioned is also nice. There are several other places in town that i don't know the name of. The two that you mentioned Vilma are very nice hotels, i think personally that they are priced correctly.

Well, as one who lives here the Pinar and Rancho are pretty good bets, but you may also want to try the Brisas del Yaque. It is located in the heart of the city and an easy walk to anywhere you want to go. There are also smaller hotels around, but don'
t bet on them.
