Is Big Frank retiring, or just going to focus on his other interests?

I don't want to pretend that i speak for Big Frank (I don't) but he's 105yrs old and is ready to move on...to lots of girlfriends and lots of laughter.

Do people really pay 1.5 millions dollars for a beach bar in DR ??

Just, really curious.

Well, in this case, you're buying the property as well. It's beach front property, in the middle of town. In the heart of Cabarete. I don't know what people are paying for beach front property, but this property is also coming with rental property--Spa, Jewelry store, cigar store, 2nd floor office, restaurant, etc.

Of course, what you ask for, and what you get is always different.

Thanks ! It makes sense.

It did sound like a whole lot of money for a beach bar, again I have no idea what they go for

Totally agree. I know nothing about the restaurant biz, but I know that Frank is no fool. He's got a nice business on what is arguably the choicest spot on the best commercialized beach on the North Coast (this side of Cabrera, anyway). It won't go for asking price, but I'm sure he'll be happy with what it sells for.

There are plenty of vacant spots near his, but always seems to have business, which is a good sign. If it comes with a pink slip for Frank12 (so he can't jet off to Norway again, lol), I'd definitely say go for it.

Full disclosure: I'm a fan of Big (and Little) Frank, two very cool dudes....

How long has the bar/restaurant been in business....?

Longevity & track record are key factors in pricing ....
Flashes in the pan aren't too hot....

How's that for imagery ???

Glad Frank12 is working the TV's. All the other guys that tried doing that in the past were terrible at it. Plus Frank12 is the nicest host there could be.

It could take a while to sell, but you never know. The restaurant is fully operational and has a good central location on the beach.

We should have a dr1 cooperative and buy it !!! :)

There would be too much fighting over which paper towels to buy and whether or not unescorted chicas are permitted to ply their trade by the seaside!
