I would second what ECH says, and add that if you want more background, do an archive search, as these two subjects have come up & been discussed extensively and repeatedly over the years (indeed, again just in the last few weeks).

I have see so many posts on this and most all the same jail time.
On my last visit to Sosua I seen dominicans on the street with big bags of pot!!At most discos and people on the streets selling it! Must be a double standard. And now they will say the police is setting you up!!
Well as I don't use it or think you should, but it is there!
The chancre of what can happen is not worth it at all.
A vacation in paradise is not a vacation if you have to see it from behind bars.
