Am I an a$$ kisser? If I am, allow me to "rebutt" . Just because we have a different take on it, there's no need to resort to name-calling. I'm simply wishing him luck, and hope he does well.

I didn't read one post who said the actual business idea was a great idea. With the few details he shared, it's unfair and inappropriate to make that judgement. I'm just saying "why does anyone care what he does with his money?" He's supporting the DR economy, giving a couple of people who didn't already have a job an income, a giving some people a chance. This can be compared to one of the many "sankie" stories on the board in which everyone throws in their 2 cents, judging someone and their choices without knowing the whole picture. While the advice is well-intentioned and commendable if you are trying to help, if you're trying to shoot it down without knowing the facts, you're playing a whole different game. And again, why care what he does with his money? People are going to do what they're going to do, and need to make their own mistakes, if that is what they are going to be.

I, for one, hope Johne can come back to this board in a year, tell us he now has 100 Dominicans in his employ, and say "I told you so."

Then you didn't like what you heard from us so you went ahead and primised you will give us a full progress report in the next year or so regarding your new business ventures in DR. Now (after 2 yrs) all of the sudden you are reluctant to even talk about this subject.
