Dominicans, as well as most Latinos, have difficulties pronouncing the letter 'V'... la 'B' de vaca.
Hang on, they don't have difficulty, it's called illiteracy. The transposition of b and v is not a pronunciation issue. Baron is Varón folks! The thing is in Castilian Spanish the v is pronounced as a b. "Yo boi" this is illiteracy.

It’s widespread. Thus the “B como burro o V como vaca” common question.
