looking to meet females ...

Meeting local girls in a resort area, that are not hookers will be your biggest challange....but yes, we are here (please clarify GIRLS).............
Do you speak spanish Fluently? If not you will be only meeting the pros!!! And in Boca Chica you will probably only meet pros, It is similiar to Times square in the 70s and 80s but with a beach. If you want to meet normal women you will have to go into the Capital and go to local bars and clubs. But in my opinion if your going for 4 days just enjoy the beach and the Hos

not bad advice...maybe i'll take it....but wont (non-pro) girls want to meet me because I am from NY even through I do not speak spanish?
Do you think that because you are from NY they will fall at your feet? Are you going to be the first New Yorker they have ever seen? Like BP said, if you do not speak Spanish, there won't be much communication and your pool of potential lady friends will be comprised of prostitutes. So I say spend a few bucks and have fun!

You can't talk to them what possible interest would they have in you? Even the pro and semi pro girls don't take all that well to NY'ers having their fill of loud, drunk, misogynist types time and time again. Bermudians too, they are quite a bunch in groups. If you are a NYC cop even worse, they behave appallingly in Boca Chica.
Your lack of Spanish and lack of familiarity will please those pros who will pretend to like you and charge you a lot more than the going rate.

What everyone is trying to say, (I think) is that "normal" Dominican women are not interested in tourists from anywhere. They are into lasting relationships and you will need to at least pretend you are going to be around for awhile, this is hard for a non-spanish speaking visitor to pull off.
Also "normal" Dominican women are hard to find in tourist areas. You may be aware that the Dominican Republic has a very high percentage of prostitutes per capita, maybe in the top 5 worldwide and they flock to tourist areas like flies at a landfill.

i think mr mike has got it right on. I have been to B.C. many times (not to go chica chasing)....and i have noticed that in general, the people who spoke little to no english where the nicer people to hang out with and they really opened up the traveling experience for me. The english speaking people (in B.C.), especialy the young and pretty girls are very aggressive ho's.....and trust me...being from NYC isnt going to impress the hell out of them.
I used to work at a trendy tourist area back in the day....and mid-way thru the summer season the locals would develop what is called "augustitis". By august we were totaly tired of all the tourists and stupid pick up lines "where are you from".
just THINK about it for a moment. Why would a decent woman want to hang with you if you are only going to be around for 4 days?
so go....enjoy the ho's ,try to learn some elementary spanish before your trip....and enjoy yourself if that is what you are after. (the girls are totaly hot...even i was tempted....and i aint into girls! lol)
Oh....one thing...i do recommend NOT going out and finding the first one you can find.....hang out with some of the other guys traveling and ask around about how things work. That way you might not get totaly ripped off.

thanks guys...I only mentioned the "Im from NYC" because i heard girls like it..not to show off...but thanks you guys are already showing me the right way....
I had heard stories of men you have girlfriend there so I thought that i could meet a local and have soething like that.....

1 in 2000 if you are lucky and not because they are able to speak English because they've been deported from the USA (for drug offenses usually) which is real common for DR guys you meet and who try to "help" you out. The middle to upper class girls who may have learned English in school won't go within a mile of you nor are you likely to see them.
I am not counting as speaking English girls who know the English vernacular for sex acts and money.

yeah...i dont think a girl who asks you in the first minute "do you like sucky sucky" would be considered a class act. It sounds like a lot of guys are going down there after hearing stories from their friends about how hot the women are there. i think their friends are probably leaving out the fact that they are paying for their services.
On my first visit I met a sankie who pretty much was just showing me around. We rented a motor bike and he took me into the capital...to playa caribe, took me to the family house, and other places. Being as it was my first visit there and i was totaly clueless it was actualy a good deal.
I think you will enjoy yourself. Just remember tho...NYC aint something to brag about....to the working girls and sankies...it means you have $$$. But AS a NYC'r you should be street savy.

Meeting a girl in Boca Chica is like trying to pick up a nice girl on a street walker bulivard. Sure you might have a good choice, but they are all there for one thing. That is the epicenter of an epidemic. If you have the time, go to a local tailor near Boca Chica, (you'd be suprised how many familys know how to tailor). Buy some nice cloths from Santa Domingo, brush your teeth, and get your hair cut, shower, and get a manicure. If you do that, by the time your done, chances are you would have meet some one in SD better than what you would have meet in Boca Chica (as a friend). I went to Boca Chica once, but I had no f'n idea what I was getting into. One day the police came by to do a sweep of the prostitues on the beach. When they were done,there were no Dominican women on the beach under 40 >period<. So when you go there and look at the beach, think about that. Or talk to a sankie on the beach, pick out a Dominican woman you see there and say "I want that one" implying your willing to pay. Sankies are more than willing to pimp, and if you have your doubts about all the women there being in the business, want and see what happens with your "I want" request.
So remember when you come back with a momento, to check the "yes" box when the CDC asks you if your were involved with a prostitue.

i dunno lee....i have to say this. while it wasnt my primary reason for traveling to B.C....i did break down and had some sexual activity...and i was impressed with the fact that condoms were the norm....and i never contracted any sorta STD. Again...as i stated in another thread...if you are going to mess around ANYWERE...that is YOUR responsiblity to play safe....and also remember there are pleanty of STD's out there...not just HIV.
