Well, let's put into perspective. How do you think cutie pie and honey bunny sound to us? :classic:

sound..? How 'bout the effect on some of the other senses?

Here's the ultimate Dominican love lyrics:

Ay lindo capullo de alel?
'to lo que me guinda es para t?

I always get linda, reina or preciosa. Not so original, but then again neither are honey, sweety or darling in English.

Mi capullito de alel? is something I've been saying to my wife for a few years now.....don't know where I picked it up from. I'm going to now add the part about 'to lo que me guinda es para t? --she'll like that.

I know you would call a waitress-- Mi Amor but would you call a close friend of the same sex--Mi Amor? any of those terms like your would in English-- or is it strickly for waitresses and loved ones!? What about a male friend?

I've been called Mami. I've called men Papi but that's all.

I can't imagine calling my close friend Mi amor but then again I'm not Dominican!!
