I been sending letters often over the past year to the DR. I always send it registered and it usually takes about 1 week and a half. After September 11th, I sent a letter. I went for a visit in DR the 2nd week of October and the letter arrived during my stay. I understand that the mail in Canada had been put on a standstill for almost 2 weeks that explained the lateness of my letter getting there! But I sent another letter on November 5th, registered and it still has not arrived. It left Canada on the 9th so I am figuring it should have been there by this time. Does anyone know if the mail is on a standstill in the DR??? I have read before here that the mail usually takes some time but like I said I have been sending letters over the past year and this is the second time in a row that it hasnt been under 2 weeks. anyway..I guess I am lucky that the letters even get there!
Any comments?? Cheers!
