Just look at what types of guys foreign women date and dream of marrrying when they come to DR? certainly not the Bob's type.

Hey i aint against sampling as much as possible. Wether girls of dubious character, or paid or whatever. Just dont have a GF or spouse when you are going through that phase. Dont say to someone you are my only, dear and go cheat on her. You want to play the field go ahead...just play the field, lay the cards on the table, and each girl that doesnt have a problem with that, she has no chance of getting hurt. I just dont subscribe to the needs to cheat. I also understand that situations arise where there is a huge immediate desire to cheat. And its not a long term thought process. The devil is powerful. And maybe you really are sorry afterwards. But i dont think we are talking about that here. We are talking about an open conscious way of life of wanting others when you are supposedly "commited" to another.

I do subscribe to the theory that woman want bad guys.....even though they dont like what ends up happening. yeah they get hurt, but they go right back to that bad boy image for the next BF. I dont have an answer for that, but I realize it is real.

I realize i look mean all the time, i cant help that....last week a guy told me at a bar that i looked like I wanted to beat the chit out of someone!!!!!!

is that what i look like? ha ha ha.....i told him that wasnt the case at the moment. of course AZB wasnt in my thoughts at the time ha ha ha ha

It seems it is fairly common for married men to cheat - we're all agreed on that one.

An observation: Dominican men do seem to 'parade' their girlfriends around their male friends or in 'safe' groups when the wife is not around ..... guys, is this a competition?!

Is it fair to say that Dominican women are more tolerant when it comes to cheating? Seems like most of them know what's going on but as long as they're 'taken care of' then they let it slide. Most western women on the other hand are horrified at the thought and go balistic at the possibility that their man is cheating.

In my opinion they are more tolerant but they go more balistic. Where a western woman would put her nose in the air and walk away from a cheater showing independace and self-respect a Dominican woman will abase herself making a huge scene showing how devastated she is by what is ulitmately her failure to monopolize a man, or at best her inability to accurately judge a man's character before becomig intimate with him and making him the center-piece of her self-esteem.

I suspect that often there may be (possibly) subconcious effort to patch up the relationship and reap the benefits of contrition, peace offerings etc. Much in the same way that many women will instigate fights with their spouses when bored just for the make-up sex and possible accomanying gifts.

Men don't "Cheat" because the "Steam" has gone out of a relationship,we cheat because "We Can"! We are biologically programmed to cheat! It,s "good" for the species! Mixes up the gene pool!Society and religion try to legislate,and pontificate to the contrary,but men want all the different "PU$$Y" they can get!! Add to that men who need multiple partners to re-assure their "Manhood"and we have "MOST MEN" cheating! And women not far behind,for the same reasons.

Although I would have put it a bit more eloquently, I have to pretty much agree with CC here. (God, how it pains me to say that).


When a person cheats, it's not necessarily because they don't love their spouse.

Take a random person, for example, and note that their favorite dessert is apple pie. This person loves and adores apple pie and has it with almost every meal.

But one day, they get a craving for chocolate cake.

Just because they sample the cake doesn't mean that their favorite is not apple pie anymore.

A real sh*tty analogy, I know. But it's all I could come up with after one hour of sleep last night.

While I personally prefer a monogamous relationship (it's too much work for me to remember the correct name to call out during sex if I'm cheating), I don't think it would be the End of the World if me or my significant other had a lapse. As long as the indiscretion is safe then I don't think it's a relationship-killer.

Yes but both roles require entirely diferent skillsets, I was fortunate enough to find a wife who has both but there are not many women who do.

Yep, that is it. About every 3 months I get a craving for chocolate cake. It fact it is becomming my favorite.

All his suitcases were there waiting by the door. Maybe, if she had done this first time he cheated (instead of the 200th) it would have carried some weight.

My friend had things patched up by the next day and I believe despite the fact that he later broke up with her for good that she would take him back after 200 more episodes of cheating. Not because she was financially dependent on him but because she loved him and for some obsessive reason she would want to be with him no matter what.

Seriously though, Sunny, I love your perspective on this. Cheating doesn't mean you don't love or want to be with the person you are with.

In my opinion, from a cultural perspective I think that NA women are mostly oblivious or in denial where there is a cheating spouse. I also think that most NA men cheat for different reasons than Dominican men and discretion is on a different level. From what I have seen with NA men, generally, is that nobody knows what is going on except the two people involved. Usually it is not about getting laid but rather intimacy. I know so many guys who just aren't getting sex at home, and I mean like they get it only on special occassions 3 or 4 times a year, tops, from their wives. Not only are they not getting their physical needs met but their emotional need for intimacy can cause them to look for it elsewhere. Yet, they love their wives dearly. And yet, if their wives ever found out, they'd be in divorce court faster than you can say "child support".

Also, in my opinion, and generally speaking, Dominican men seem to cheat, mostly, for conquest, status, to look good for their friends and because they can as CC would say. Dominican woman do not usually withhold sex from their men as is so typical for NA woman. Dominican women tend to enjoy sex and to withhold would be to punish herself. (They aren't stupid!) I also think that Dominican women know how to relate to men by being more outwardly loving, sexual, passionate, etc. and to know that sometimes men just stray, and it is just part of life. So, I think they tolerate it better than their NA counterparts but if you get caught red handed, you better know how to run real fast!
