Hoping to get recommendation. I live in the rural parts of Samaná. A friend of mine needs better care for her leg. After visiting the local doctor, she has an infection after several stitches. Fell in a hole filled with water that was deep last Friday. She speaks perfect Spanish and English; my husband and I will transport her to the medical facility today. Thanks for your help.

Very common problem that needs to be treated immediately , but any doctor or emergency room should be able to prescribe the two types of antibiotics to cover the most likely type of infection. And they should clean the area thoroughly and put on a bandage with antiseptic . My experience is mainly with cattle but same principle . Important to keep on time with the doses of antibiotics.
