Hello, I'm in the process of completing my initial application for residency, and have been scheduled for an appointment with Migration. They sent a request to pay for my medical exam online. I want to know if I am suppossed to pay online for the medical exam and complete this before my appointment. Or, if I sm suppossed to go to the appointment with Migration first, and then go take the medical exam?

Also, how long does it take for the medical results to be completed and sent to Migration?

Thank you.

Things change in that office with every new departmental change but the process is that you go to the office first and then they tell you to go to the medical office that is situated in Gazcue and the clinic will take less than a week to give results to the immigration office, depending if they find anything in your blood .There are actually two buildings side by side and first you go to the reception in the building on your left and there they take blood and urine and they then direct you to the other building for the chest x ray. As for payment that used to be done in the immigration office in your initial appointment with the Banreserva desk there but now I assume it is online..You will carry paper confirmation of the payment to the clinic.

Let me be specific. You will go to laboratorio Ivonne Nicolas which is situated in calle Josef Perdermo, between Pasteur and Garcia Godoy and they do everything except the chest Xray which is done next door in Centro Medico San Lucas. The Xray room is extremely shabby .You must bring your passport with you and proof of payment. All of the other information is on the DGM website.

Being on the north coast.
We filled out all that was needed online. After 4 weeks of no response and that we had to keep logging in to find our status, we had our atty. look into it.
Got a 5 day window to have physical examinations the next week in POP.
Room is packed but most masked. Forget about social distancing. Groups of tourists given priority as everyone else waits more. 2 hours...
Blood drawn, chest exray, pee in cup then upstairs for everything else that took an hour for each of us. Lengthy questionnaire.
That was 5 weeks ago. Still no time to renew.
Problem is ... travel.
