Not necessarily Bob, people can react differently to different drugs. It also depends on the type of pain you are dealing with. What works for you may not work for me and my type of pain.
I realize that, but I also know people develop a tolerance for a medication and it becomes less effective.

I've taken my BP medication for over 15 years and still on the same dosage.
Same here. Last time I was at the VA in Miami a few years back the cardiologist told me what I was taking was the holy grail of BP meds.

Curious as to which was your cardiologist preferred?
Codiovan 160/12.5 (Valsartan/hydrochlorothiazide) and 1mg Cardura (doxazosin)

Cardura is more for the prostate which I no longer have, I asked my GP about not taking it and he said to keep using it.

There was a shortage of cardura for a few weeks 2 years ago so I couldn't take it. After a few days it got to be a pretty uncomfortable feeling in my chest, but thankfully it appeared again.

The cardiologist in the VA in Miami is one of the most well-known doctors in the U.S.

My urologist there is also one of the country's finest and well-known.

The in-patient treatment in VA Hospitals is all state of the art equipment, procedures, etc. and the Miami VA is one of the top 3 of the system.

true enough, what's it from? My brother has back pain that nothing works well. He finds acupuncture works best for his problem but doesn't kill all the pain.
Interesting. Until I lost about 35 lbs, I was taking around 3g of ibuprofen daily. Now I'm down to 600mg in the morning before the gym and I never need a second dose. This is due to sciatica.
