Regarding being a gentleman. There's truth to the fact that Dominican or any Latin woman appreciates a man who handles no B.S.
You're too nice and that's a bad sign too. Very few Dominican men handle BS from DR women there and so you have to do like the Romans do as well. If not you will carry a very large lollipop on your forehead.

very well said, AZB is also right I always see these guys asking permission to do anything, Be a man and take charge thats what Dominican women(and all women)want, a REAL man not a pu$$y.

That's why you see so many fine woman going that route, because many men have gone soft after the womens movement asked them to be senthitive.
Once a buddy and I were stunned at the beauty of this one FINE Fine girl as she passed us on the street. and you know what he said? He said: "What to know what's ironic, is that somewhere, some guy is saying what a pain in the ass she is".
Well, I guess I have been in the USA longer than I lived in the DR. Therefore, I might not understant dominican women living in the DR, But I tell you one thing. The dominican women I know including myself would not get involved with a dominican man. One of the reason is the lack of respect and lack of value most of them place on women. That's the reason I, as well a lot of my friends are married to american man. From my experiece they know how to value and respect women.
Dominicanita, latin men get a bad rap for this, even here in the states. It has become a source of pride for some latinas to never, ever give a fellow latin-american the time of day.
So your bias towards dominicans is nothing new, its' just sad.
Yes sad, but it is the truth. Many Latin american men are too macho to treat their woman nicely. So living in the states gives us a chance too meet men from all over the world and realized that we do not have to settle for less. There are many great latin men out there, but unfortunately there are many more who are just not recomendable. Out of all the dominican men in my family not even one if recomendable. My first boyfriend was dominican and just the thought of him irritates me all over again.
Of course, many American or Latin-American men find intelligent and beautiful Dominican women for life long partners and how many get burned for being and having this same "nice" guy personality. To me here is nothing like a latina woman period. At the same time, a man visiting there must not let his guard down and show that he's too nice or naive. Because he will get taken.

American men have no difficulty finding foreign wives, but often have a hard time once they take them to the USA. American women have a hard time finding foreign men, and if they take them to the USA, have a very hard time keeping them. Here's why:
Among Latinos - as in most of the world outside western Europe and non-Latin North America, the men make the decisions. American women call this 'machismo'. Among Norteanos and the like, the women make the decisions. American women call this 'equality'.
That explains it all.

Real dominican men threat their women real nicely. They open door for them, pull chairs and pick them up, drop them off and pay for them and their uninvited friends and family as well. So I just don't see how a dominican male can be so bad. Now if he goes out for a little action on the side, so what? Almost all men do it if the risks are low and the reward is good.
Note: I am talking about dominican men who are educated and live in real cities with good jobs, not your slimy resort tigre.
So if we are going to pay for all that and maintain a woman and her needs, then why can't we have the veto power in decision making situations? I say, If I am the one who brings bread to the table, then I have the veto power in the house.
Now if that is called, being an A$$hole, then so be it. I was in resort for 3 days in this past weekend and believe me I have seen enough of you nice, self assured, guys with your wives and girlfriends. Now if that is what you guys are getting for being nice and self-assured then I rather prefer to be an A$$hole. At least I am doing far better than the nice guys. Hahahahaha
