The very successful Mortal Kombat video game for several consoles wouldn't had been created if the DR wasn't created first.

The co-creator Ed Boon is of Dominican ancestry according to himself.

Although several speculations and claims, ranging from Italian to Hispanic, have surfaced over the years, it was only in a 2015 interview with Angry Joe that Ed Boon clarified the air around his heritage. Confirming his Hispanic and Dominican roots, Boon placed the debates to rest.

But things don't end with Mortal Kombat…

Not only has he been instrumental in the Mortal Kombat series, but he also made it to IGN’s “Top 100 Game Creators” list in 2009. Such accolades only underscore his significance in the gaming world.

He has worked on various influential games, and among the most recent is Mortal Kombat 12. His involvement and dedication to the gaming community are evident in each of his projects.

Things don't end with Ed Boon…

While Ed Boon is a known face in the gaming domain, his younger brother, Mike Boon, isn’t far behind. Mike has been a part of Ed’s team since the days of Mortal Kombat 4. Together, they are the Hispanic and Dominican pillars of the Mortal Kombat series.

Who knew that if Haitian Emperor Faustin Soulouque had been successful in his multiple attempts to exterminate the Dominican people, Mortal Kombat might had never come into existence. Pedro Santana didn't know it at the time, but his successful actions had many indirectly impacts into the future.

Some other stuff he worked on here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ed_Boon

It appears his voice is the one that appear saying this in Mortal Kombat games and movie?

It's a multi-billion dollar industry, so someone has to like it and buy it. The prices for several games are insane. US$50, US$60, US$70 are "normal" prices for a game. It used to be that you can buy a new popular game for around US$20 or less. What happen to those days?

Now I wonder how much the Mortal Kombat series have made for them (including the co-creator)? Its popularity reached heights enough to turn the game into a movie. Both the games and the movie were sold/shown worldwide.

That's the one the NY times bought off a guy who made it during the pandemic lockdown, right ?
Yes. And there are dozens on the internet that do the same as Wordle.

Today this made it to a Santo Domingo radio station. Supposedly, his mother is Dominican.
