So in one of your pics in photobucket I see a couple of pasolas, but you said you could only get there by boat or hiking?

K...it sounds like the boat is the more practical route then. I wouldn't want to leave my vehicle unattended while going on a 1 hour+ each way hike...that hike back may become a lot longer.
Would one be able to hire a boat in Las Galleras and as well have them arrange to bring food and cook on the beach for you? Or would you have to do all the food work yourself i.e. buy the food, bring the coolers and ice, method of cooking, etc. etc.
To save from getting ripped off, i would just take a couple of coolers with you--filled with food and drinks. but, on one occasion when i was there on the weekend, there was a shack on the far end of the beach with 2 men and a woman cooking food for any tourists that may show up. we ordered a lot of fish and chicken and it was good! They also had beer and water.

Is the trail easy to find and follow ? I was there with a diveboat from Las Galleras but would love to go there by my own.Let me just add that, if you want to see the caves, the amazing fauna, wild flowers, and mammoth rocks, you will only see that from the walk from Boca de Diablo to Playa Fronton. those caves and amazing rock structures and fauna are during the 50 to 60 minute walk to the beach along a trail that snakes along the coast.

You need to see the beach @ El Valle, if you think Rincon is nice, and it is better accessible than either.
Very nice pictures!
What types of defensive weapons are required for the trip?
Here's what the beach looks like as you approach from boat:
