He was interesting and one of the reasons I decided to post. If he does live as he says that type of lifestyle would probably only interest a limited amount of people. Some of his suggestions do no pertain to all areas of the country. It would be nice to cool off and walk to a waterfall but not in Santo Domingo, that is not possible.

Once you get the hang of it.... things here are VERY predictable....
It would not be possible where he lived either... the walk to the waterfall... since LT is a very touristy area of the country.. There are foreign folks who are living the simple life here in small towns.. but they are not in Las Terrenas, most likely.. nor on DR1, I would venture!
