The Trip Has Begun

Thank you for all the responses. The trip has now begun after "scoring" a Yamaha DT125 in Cabarete for $18/day. I'll be posting trip reports for anyone who's interested, as soon as I figure out where to put them.

In another post I had asked about Camping in the DR and got a really good response. But, due to weight and space constraints I've opted against camping. Thanks to all of you who offered great advice on that topic.

Of course if the monkey had his own motorbike, it would be even better.
