These were the Dominican emigrants recognized during the previous Premio al Emigrante Dominicano Sr Óscar de la Renta. This took place in the Teatro Nacional Eduardo Brito (Sala Carlos Piantini) in Santo Domingo.

The winners included several Dominican emigrants to the United States, several to Spain, one to Italy, one to Chile, one to Qatar (the winner of the grand prize), and a Dominican descendant born in Canada (the prizes are given to Dominican emigrants and Dominican descendants of first -children- and second -grandchildren- generations.)
