how old is he, 27?And yet I know a guy who literally eats nothing but Cheerios but has a body that would stand out on any calendar.
He probably buys more than everyone else on the island combined.

If he uses milk with them he will get some protein. But Cheerios by themselves is hardly nutrious. And yet I know a guy who literally eats nothing but Cheerios but has a body that would stand out on any calendar.

The Dominican republic is not an island. And yet I know a guy who literally eats nothing but Cheerios but has a body that would stand out on any calendar.

My father’s genetic gifts to me were heart problems and cancer. He lived a sedentary lifestyle and his heart problems started at age 52. A quadruple bypass followed by another one in his 80’s. I was very active and followed a better diet. My problem was A-fib which was cured with a simple non invasive surgical procedure. A better lifestyle could result in less of a problem and a better ability to cope with the problem.
Everything in moderation isn’t true anymore according to the latest medical research. The effects of a fat laden meal on your cardiovascular system are immediate and don’t go away. The effects are cumulative as you eat more of the same.
Where I live, there is a high prevalence of colon and stomach cancer. The doctors attribute it to the high levels of sulphites and nitrates in our preserved foods such as salted meats, bologna, pickled products especially ham. The salt level is lethal enough over time. That plus the other preservatives delivers a double whammy to your digestive system. The DR salami is delicious but I avoid It because of the fat and preservatives. My understanding was that dietary fat isn't actually culprit. You could eat regular meat and eggs and cheese and be fine.
Rather it's processed crap like salami, trans fat, shortening, margarine, vegetable oils (basically all processed foods); and lastly SUGAR (high carbs as in Cheerios, cakes, etc) that kill you slowly.
If your food isn't in its "natural state" by the time you eat it because it has been processed, then you know it's unhealthy.
Dr. Berg talks about it all the time. He says it it's not fat per se that blocks your arteries, it's the inflammation triggered by too much processed foods and high carbs that in turn create plaque in your arteries.
The Spanish and Italians have been chowing down on salted cured and processed meats for over 200 years. Maybe it's more than just the gabagool that's killing your people!Where I live, there is a high prevalence of colon and stomach cancer. The Spanish and Italians have the Mediterranean diet which has been proven to be a better diet then British and North American diets. Their ability to live long lives on their diet has been well documented. The preserved food they eat is a much higher quality than the heavily processed preserved food we eat.The Spanish and Italians have been chowing down on salted cured and processed meats for over 200 years. You can hardly compare a cured Pata Negra to a DR Salami. The first takes time, care and that has it’s expenses of course. The Spanish and Italians have been chowing down on salted cured and processed meats for over 200 years. Maybe it's more than just the gabagool that's killing your people!

I do see a fitness culture rolling in as well with the younger generations Bob, here in Puerto Plata the Faustos are packed along with exercise gym. I feel like even 5 years ago there was one- but it was more or less motivated by baseball now some people just want to be healthy and that's great. I do see more young men taking steroids now as they can just go in the pharmacies and get what they want. I remember Canada though too everyone went through their phase though - just happy people are trying to be healthy though.Well, what you say is true, but the gyms here in Jarabacoa are filled with people exercising, spinning, and lots of the younger generation are very aware of healthy eating habits.
Every time I return to Vancouver Island I am amazed at all the people exercising. Here in Jarabacoa there is a surge in mountain biking, short running races like 5 k races. Soccer is huge here in the mountains as well. Boxing is also popular, Womens fastball and youth basketball and volleyball played every night. When you live in an area where all you do is go to the beach or bars you know notice this as much.I do see a fitness culture rolling in as well with the younger generations Bob, here in Puerto Plata the Faustos are packed along with exercise gym.
