The National Zoo is now open to the public, with health protocols in place, of course. The zoo opens to the public at 9am.
Only 1,000 persons a day are admitted. Tickets are sold at the Zoo. Contact the zoo through their website to reserve admission in advance for groups and future visits. You can also call 809 378-2149 ext 232 and 233.
To avoid any crowds, only families and individuals are allowed in line for tickets. Group visitors need to remain in their vehicles and Zoodom officials will deliver the admission bracelets to each visitor inside the vehicle.
The use of masks inside the Zoo is obligatory. No lines are allowed for the trains, and only families can sit together in the trains. The trains are being disinfected after each trip.
