I strongly believe you are an artist. That is why I recommended you for this work in the very first place.
We didn't know you gave us 50% discount on it (I did know it was a special price because I did ask for it). We paid 50% in advance.
When you pay an advance you expect to see results (not an entire website, of course) but you expect to see little steps being done.
You expect to have your supplier asking for information or materials needed. At least reporting what has been done and/or the lack of work done because of whatever. But you were silent all the time. If I didn't write, you would not write. This is called lack of interest.
Yesterday, as a last resource, I wrote "Please show me something".... something ... like for example, when you posted a nice tobacco related website offering it to someone because you got some inspiration... No contents, just the image, combination of colors, appearence and location of the menu, fonts selected... it was not an ordered website...
I insist you are an artist and I do admire the gift in you. But as I wrote you in a PM, long distance business is not working here. I don't think we have to engage in blaming each other. Facts are, there is some money down and there is no evidence of work being done.
About the reimbursement, on Monday I will PM you Grace Gallagher's bank account for her to administer that money in any of her charity activities.

You recieved a special price because you asked for a makeover.
Then you changed to completely new material, and said you will send it as the content of your existing website was out of date.
That is not a problem at all from my side, as I like your work and I think what you are doing is important and interesting.
The last files I got from you was Sep 12, with the promise to get the rest the day after.
You knew exactly what material was required:
A sitemap of how you wanted your mainlinks with subsections, textcontent and pictures for each section.
I have gotten appr. 30 % of the material that was asked for ( see 2nd email you got ). It is not possible to make a layout without having the photos, or knowledge of the extend of textcontent you finally we have.
Before having that only a basic scripting on a website is possible, i.e meta tags, keywords, security scripting like not being able to copy from the site etc. A layout is made when material is recieved.
You talking about something you do not know, just because you have not sent enough material.
I informed you, that I don´t want to do your website, as you cannot come up with material, and even though time is taken to clean your logo, resize the 2 pictures you sent ( with promise more will come ) and read the files you did send, that I will send the money back to your company, I also PMd you about this, with request of info about your account number.
And you said the longdistance work is not good.
So fine! We have agreed.
Where you chose to send this money after that, is completely up to you.
End of story.
