Gracias! The motives are the inspiration. It is truly a joy to take photos here, and by time of course they get better. And I got a new camera as well!

Carina, don't know why you have such hard feelings for the people on the malecon who are bing 'relocated', but for sure, regardless of who is behind then this is not a BAD thing. Really. Most of my friends, associates and employees are born and raised in Puerto Plata and NONE of then see this as a bad thing. Humanity is cruel sometimes, but in the end, it will be for the greater good.....I know, I know, seeing those eyes daily is sad, very said...pero no te preocupes, se vaya bien y mucho mejor. No tienes idea que lo ha pasado ayi, hace anos. La gente local estan feliz, believe me.
No one is being relocated as for now. Not people or businesses, and that is the point. This could have been done in a completely other way. It is beyond abuse to first bulldoze peoples houses or businesses and then say a meeting will take place a few days after. Someone seeing sense in this does not know democracy and does not care about it either.
I am not defending Long Beach, I am reacting to the acts that have been taken.
I know most locals I have been talked to don´t feel it has anything to do with them, they don´t live there, and certainly don´t go to the bars. They don´t see the bigger picture as of how this is handled, and how it affects other parts of the country, such as real estate, trust and instability. That is natural as being a young nation without experience in democratic behaviour on grassroot level.
But if you or your friends, associates etc where the ones with houses or businesses there, and now had no roof over your head or no income, I am guessing there would be another song playing.
