If you tell airlines that you have a new entry requirement that is mandatory, as they have done in the photo that was shared, then the airlines will definitely follow it to the letter. You won't be allowed to board without an e-ticket, just like you can't board a flight to almost any other country in the world without showing some sort of entry clearance. Not a biggie.

I just arrived at SDQ. This is current information. Packed flight on JB. When there was 30 minutes left before landing and they did not pass out paper forms I asked the attendant who replied”0h they do that there now at the airport. All electronic “. So I said what happens to those that don’t have it done? He said “ So you fill out the paper. Do you want one?” Yep. Took less than 4 minutes to do.
my question is: if they are going to eliminate paper why did they build 2 spanking new writing areas?
Quick and easy, out the door. Now the guy next me told and showed me, when you book the tics on a smart phone app for JB after the sale they link you to the application for the entry pass.

Hi been thru POP multiple times no issue. Before it was official in and out. When official and changing days and flights using an iphone and ipad. A couple glitches in drop down menus as noted by many. Take a picture of the code or just start over if there is an issue. I also cleared history in Safari which helped. I also have Priority Pass coming in your escorted thru. Anyway just my experience.

They will never stop giving out forms to the tons of people without the E Ticket. It is fine though to give you a choice...........................................

So my daughter has been trying for days to complete the "e-Ticket" form. At least for french cities, it will let you pick from a list when you enter your address, but then won't enter your selection (I tried, too, same result). Iberia has let her board. Hard to see how it can be mandatory if it doesn't work properly. Hopefully she can just do paper, and will be fine.

One reason it will never work from many countries is the postal code. They have no idea of postal codes in these countries. As I have said many times, it will NEVER be mandatory to board a plane with an E Ticket........................

Jim TuryExpats living in The Dominican Republic (on Facebook reports

First time visitor. Just returned from 2 weeks. This might provide insight for other first timer travellers.
We flew Spirit Air to SDQ. When we checked in, I got a paper boarding pass from a kiosk as opposed to digital. After we arrived at the gate, an agent made an announcement that you must have a paper boarding pass and had to fill out the online immigration form that generates the QR code. The agent will then put a green star on the boarding pass.
You were forbidden to board without the green star. I'm not sure if other airlines implement the same procedure.
After arriving at SDQ, there are 2 cambios before immigration. Being a first-time visitor, I did not have any pesos. Banreservas had the better rate, at 56/$. The other offered some ridiculous 49.xx/$. If you don't change here, both banks are also in the arrival hall.
We had to show the QR code form at immigrations.

As you can see, having to fill out the online immigration form will "never" be a requirement. LOL SKY, be sure to get your green star after you fill out the on line immigration from to get the QR code so you can board the plane. Of course, this never happened.

Have you tried flying to the US recently (as a non-US resident)? Or to the UK as a non-UK resident? Or to practically anywhere else on the planet. Everywhere requires you to do stuff online before you arrive these days.

I understand. People only lie on Facebook. I am sure the online requirement story was made up. They could never require it to fly.
Nothing ever changes.

If you disagree with post 433 that the blue form is given out then get off your couch and go to POP and see for yourself. Then post. To sit home and dig all over the net for something that agrees with your point is not what makes this forum. It is input from people on the ground.

Now I will say it again. THE BLUE FROM IS STILL GIVEN OUT AT THE AIRPORT TO FILL OUT AND BOARD.....................

Hi, showed my QR code at POP. Showed agent said ok. Showed immigration ok, paid overstay ok, stamped and gone 3 minutes. So as usual experiences are different on different days, airports and who you interact with, For me same immigration officer 3 times a year always with overstay and always apositive interaction

Visiting the US for a bit tomorrow. 4 times on my iphone and 3 times on the laptop finally I got the drop downs to work as they should. Slightly frustrating but easy enough and still only took 15 minutes. I also expect the same experience at POP as HarpB. Of course Mothers day itself is not a huge travel day and apparently the plane is barely half booked :)
