new year's resolutions!

my apologies to anyone who started a similar thread that I may have missed. this is the first time in weeks I have been on dr1...and I wanted to continue the tradition of resolutions!

Ahem, I resolve, in 2007, to....

1. hang out on the malecon with Carina! (Puerto Plata)

2. drink a glass of wine with Chris! (el campo)

3. Meet Piblet! (Santo Domingo, with the aunties, bien sur!)

4. And last but not least, I resolve to go back to Samana peninsula....

5. And in the Santa Angelina category, I resolve to be aware of people, in any state of need...so that I can do whatever is needed...at the time.

Seriously, these are my SERIOUS resolutions. to hell with promises that are against my nature. I will continue to drink, bite nails occasionally, have a cigarette once in a blue moon.

my resolution is: to keep seeking spiritual guidance, I've been reading a lot on
this subject and I think I'm headed in the right direction, and to focus more on my children's education even if it means not going to the DR in the summer,

Move to Santiago for at least 3-4 months to really learn life in the DR day-to-day.

Learn passable Spanish.

Drop 25.

Take up golf.

My aunt's daughter-in-law couldn't get pregnant she had premature menopause or somethin' and my aunt brought her a bottle from the DR and after a short while she became pregnant and they had a beautiful boy. I guess they put all kinds of herbs that stimulate the female reproductive system or purges the system and you are clean and ready to reproduce.:bunny: :bunny:

Make another trip into Santiago, spend a few days rather than a few hours.

See some new sites, perhaps Punta Rucia.

Of course lose weight, I only need to drop 20, tough when you like to eat and rink beer and rum.
