neyba, dominican republic?

has anyone ever heard of this city?
if so, would you say this is a dangerous place to go?
i believe this city is close to the haitian border.
how are the haiti-dominican relationships there?

We travelled through there on our way up to Lago Enriquillo. It is famous for growing grapes.

As far as danger, that would be almost impossible to confirm or deny. We did stop off there to buy some CD's and beverages and felt perfectly safe.

Close to the border, not IMO...but then distance is a relative thing.

NOt the worst city. It has produces some outstanding people. It should be fairly tranquile and safe. Unless you are running drugs or flashing a lot of cash or being a pain inthe A$$....then you would get whatever it is you deserved...

Be nice, be cool and it will be a quiet place to live.

I would not call Neyba a city by any stretch of the immagination, Basicly a small village but not dangerous in my opinion just a small village out in the desert. Not much to do there and it really isnt to close to Hati at all.
