La Esmeralda and La Espanola are building towers each other month at incredible pace...

Traffic will be a killer around these sections without an eventual proper mass transportation (like a Santiago Metro)...

You're lucky.

Most of the Torres and condos here in Santo Domingo have by-laws that prohibit hanging clothes on Balconies.

As a matter of fact, I don't think I've ever been to one that allows it, now that I think about it.

Advantages of living in the interior of the country, hehe

Good to see development and investment in these cities.
Unfortunatley I see too often that these apartments become run down after a few years due to use of cheap
products, poor finishing and a lack of maitenance.
But it is improving...

Maintenance is an alien notion to most Dominicans used to have a concrete home that only "should" require some fresh coat of paint once every few years...

As HOAs get more and more common around the country and in apartment projects, the culture of maintenance could flourish!

Some 20 or so years back nobody ever used any type of coating for the concrete roofs, now a common thing and expected treatment...

Im not that often in Santiago, maybe it s something special there, but in the capital this is just one more building of which we have already too many

Have they fixed the bad sewer smells in SD??? Are your showering with clean water now???
