What's the appeal, besides the lower cost?When in Puerto Rico I used to hear about good medical colleges in DR and if fact some Puerto Ricans came here for that. But after seeing the medical system in DR, I think any of the better doctors educated here must flee like convicts rather than go into practice here.
I have yet to meet a good doctor - but I do know they exist, but few reside on the North Coast
The barriers to entry are non-existing in the DR: no MCAT, no high GPA, NO Bachelor's Degree, no recommendations from professors, no NADA!
Combine all of that, coupled with the cheating and rampant plagiarism, and you get a recipe for a subpar education.
