Nothing surprises me and have little idea about right from wrong here. Darcy can say that I might change my mind if covid killed me in post #35 but I can't say the opposite.
I am all in favor of people who feel the need to wear a mask doing so. I am in favor of those who feel the need to get tested for Covid prior to flying to America doing so even tho it's no longer required. I am also all in favor of people who want to make their own personal choices doing so. Some may argue this attitude is dangerous. Indeed it can be but I've learned thru personal experience that refusing to allow someone to do as they see fit can be twice as dangerous.

With me it's a case by case basis and never a one size fits all approach or.. as I've often said in the past, to each their own.

The people who refuse to allow others to carry on as they see fit often have a lot of internal issues they are either reluctant to acknowledge or reluctant to deal with and rather than look to compromise they lash out at others.

No doctor here, just my take away from dealing with oppressed, victimized, immature inferiority complex crowd.

I heard lift the requirement for the Socialist Republic of Canada is lifted too, at least till June 30th
The Canadian random Covid testing requirement for returning travellers is gone and I highly doubt it will be in effect again unless Covid infections spike significantly worldwide. The Canadian government will also be eliminating the vaccine travel mandate today. No more proof of vaccinations to travel within Canada on commercial aircraft, trains, and busesand outside Canada.

I got my second booster a few weeks ago. In my area there is no rush to get a second booster. It’s available from provincial vaccine clinics and pharmacies. The only provincial mask requirements now are in hospitals and long term care facilities. I’m expecting the federal requirement for masks on aircraft to be dropped soon. By the fall, the Canadian airline industry should be free of all Covid restrictions.

Personally, I‘ve done what I thought was best for me and my pre existing medical conditions. I’ve had my two Pfizer shots and two Moderna boosters with no adverse reactions and I haven’t contracted Covid yet. I will continue to use NIOSH approved North American manufactured N-95 masks while flying on commercial aircraft. I have faith in my abilities to protect myself. I don’t have the same faith in the person sniffing, sneezing, and blowing snot next me on a four and a half hour flight to the DR from Canada.

The jab mandate is only "suspended". Those nuts are actually threatening to reinstate it in the fall with a vengeance... with a mandatory 3 doses instead of 2 to be eligible to fly.

That’s your take on what’s been said. My take is it will not be reinstated. If major Covid spikes start to occur in other countries, travellers to and from those countries may be subject to random testing again on arrival at Canadian airports and they may be required to show vax passes again. That’s the caveat behind the removal of the restrictions. No surprise there.

You can’t expect an economy to go back to normal immediately after a two year lockdown. Blips will occur. Industry is putting constant pressure on the federal government to open up the economy and the Canadian government is listening as governments are in other countries.

The 3 doses to fly is pure speculation and fear mongering at this point. The science doesn’t support it and I highly doubt the government will implement it. Realistically, there are bigger medical issues in North America. Syphillis, a disease with the potential to destroy your nervous system, is increasing again in North America. Tuberculosis, once thought to be eradicated, is still with us and pockets of infection are happening in many communities. Obesity is still rampant in North America and many other countries. The effects of obesity, heart disease and diabetes’, are killing larger numbers of North Americans yearly. The monkey pox spread in North America is the latest reminder of our inability to stop infection spread from other countries. Just more fires for governments to fight. It’s what they do. Rising Inflation is a bigger forest fire now than Covid. Current government policy will reflect that.

How is it speculation when:
1) they are already working on updating the definition of "fully vaccinated", saying that 2 doses is no longer enough ??

And 2) they are not only telling you that the jab mandate to fly is merely suspended (NOT abolished), but ALSO telling you that they won't hesitate to bring back the mandates as soon as there is another Covid wave in Canada (which will likely be in the fall, as usual)?

Fully protected with two doses doesn’t work anymore.”

"However, the ministers warned vaccine mandates and other COVID-19 health measures being lifted in recent days and weeks could return if the situation changes in Canada, particularly if a variant of concern emerges and begins to spread."

"That’s the right time for Canadians not only to pause and deserve a summer break, but also to think of how to better be prepared individually and collectively for the fall season".

So after the "fully vaxxed" definition has been updated to 3 doses, and then Covid season hits later this year, you actually think they won't use that new wave as an excuse to flip the script?

Read between the lines, they are not "dropping" anything; they're just giving you a "summer break" while they're working on bringing it all back in the fall, with a booster requirement as a Christmas gift.

Get the feeling that fully vaxxed later on will have to include the new improved Pfizer/Moderna.

The National Covid tracking app was shut down yesterday by the Canadian government and the travel industry is pressuring the government to eliminate the Travel Canada app. The Covid restrictions are being eliminated despite the predictions of another significant outbreak worldwide in the fall.

Did I mention that CV19 is here, there and everywhere to stay?

Of course there will be return outbreaks from the "vaccines" that only work for a short time.
All of this was inevitable once the virus escaped the Wuhan lab.

And many more are now dying from vaccine consequences.............

FYI: You'll never see a settlement from Pfizer, Moderna or J&J because they can't be sued. They have protection under the law in most countries. AstraZeneca doesn't have these protections and that is why you are now seeing these settlements popping up
