Anyone happen to have any updated information as to from which banks it would be worth to check for mortgage for one person with residencia married to a person from here (not married just now, been married for many many years, both living here full-time)?

Just about any bank will give you a mortgage; meeting the requirements is what will determine if you get it or not.
The bank will send their own surveyor to determine the value of the property, and I believe they will give you a mortgage loan up to 70% of the assessed value.
They will also have their lawyers confirm that the property has a free and clear title.
And of course, you have to have sufficient income to make the payments, and having a healthy balance in your account helps too.
