save your money ..we live on an island and naturally there are tons of mosquitoes just the way this.
You don't want mosquitoes try living in Alaska than you just have to deal with the polar bears eating out of your garbage cans
The excessive number of mosquitos in the DR I don’t think is natural for the most part. Mosquitos need standing water to lay their eggs and in no time the mosquito population is expanding like crazy.
Most people everywhere in the DR do nothing to reduce standing water. In the cities, the way the curbs are made collect much standing water. The tires and other stuff abandoned in places also collect much water. Many home roofs collect puddles, usually flat roofs. Etc. Mosquitos are in a reproductive heaven in the DR.
I think if most people did what is necessary to reduce the mosquito reproduction, the amount of mosquitos wouldn’t be as many as there are. It doesn’t matter if you take care to eliminate standing water in your property, none of the neighbors will be doing that. Guess where the mosquitos come from?
