Three sailors part of the crew of the USS Dixie (AD-14) take a look at the posted menu for the day at a restaurant in Ciudad Trujillo 1940. The Dixie was making a two day stop in waters of the Dominican Republic that March, before heading to join a task force of tenders on their way off from Baltimore headed to the Panama Canal for deployment to Pearl Harbor.
