Fair to say that those of you going to the DR to date/marry a "youngie" are the same ones COMPLAINING ALL OVER THE PLACE, AFTER you bring her to your country that your girlfriends/wives:

Can NOT cook, can NOT clean, can NOT stop going out with their girlfriends, can NOT stop going to parties, can NOT save money, can NOT stop calling her "friends" in the DR, does NOT "love" you as much as she did when you visited her in "paradise".........".

NOTHING wrong with dating an older woman (NOOOOOO, AZB, my darling is in her 30's, wahahahaha).

Granted, if I am "50", I will no date someone who is "70".

But, what in hell do I have in common, being "50", with someone who is 20, for the love of God?.

Nothing if I am looking for a committed relationship......

EVERYTHING if all I want, like MOST here, is "bang and go".

Very well said, Miguel

Chevere......

What about dominicanos?

Should we start a thread on the advantages/disadvantages of dating older men?

Lord knows a lot of the women here will have a lot to say about it ;)
"Older men", are you kidding me?.

Guess what, when it comes to dating/marrying a Dominican, WOMEN are the same as guys:

"THE YOUNGER, THE BETTER!!!!!!".

Ask around.....

Same "rules" apply.....

Same as guys, do you think a 20 year old "stud" will look at a 50 year old grandma in the US?.

What are the chances?......

Remember, in "paradise", EVERYBODY looks good, even if they are as "YUMMY" as Idi Amin....

Wahahahahaha!!.

Too bad you guys think this way - there are so many good 'older' women out here. If a man took the time to actually figure out that life is not just about their own wants and needs, is also about setting a good foundation for the later years - it might be different.

you should'nt be over 50 still trying to set a good foundation unless you want a nurse to change your bedpan and feed you.
is that the key to dating younger, someone to take care of your old a*s ? :ermm:

Probably....but there are a lot of women here who are too young to date half their age minus 7 years ;)

"Younger" women always like older men (cause they spoil them), but older women could swing both ways.

If you are talking about older women who visit the DR, let me tell you that it's seems that "younger is better".

Again, as with guys, same "rules" apply.

Well this goes for the older women with younger guys, there are so many of those around lately. Two of my female cousins married younger man recently, woohooo, good for them, well hopefully the guys don't turn out to be sankies. One cousin is 39 and married, I believe he's 30 but he already has kids and so does she so they should be ok, but the other woman is about 40 and married like a 25 year old :paranoid:so only time will tell, she has kids and he doesn't.

But let me say that its totally great that dating between an older women and younger men is in right now, I myself dated a guy for a couple of months who was 10 years younger than me, I have no problem with that as long as he's ok with it and he knows how to appreciate an older woman, but would be skeptical about having a long time relationship with him.

I think some are getting dating...SHORT term mixed up with dating for the long term...as in establishing a long term relationship.

the OP was talking about establishing a long term relationship through that dating...

of course if it is going to be short term dating there is NO down side to dating the youngest sexiest woman you can get...( of course legal!!)

but when you talk about dating long term...other issues pop up and there surely is a down side to the huge age difference.

Of course the usually down side is mostly seem by OTHERS, and not the couple themselves...like sisters and parents....brothers dont seem to mind that kind of thing...they are usually just jealous!! ha ha ha..

depending on the exact age...a young girl in the age we are talking still has a lot to learn in life in general that is common knowledge for the man who is 20 years older.. maybe the man has the patience for that maybe he doesnt...it is definately person dependant.

One thing positive about a younger woman, is that she doesnt have preconcieved views already...she is moldable...for a lack of a better word.

you can sway her though her develpment....but the truth is the dominican womans mind work fantastic already....the extra youth isnt as needed as it might be for a americanized woman....the dominican culture generally produces women that are more driven to please their man in all aspect of life...not just the bedroom.

that is a one up feature from the get go....

the older woman might have been through more relationships, and thus has had a few bad experiences possibly.. and you have to work through them....

remember we are talking the long term dating...not the pick up a girl for a week type..

Kyle, that is my point exactly. A man who thinks he is going to marry a 25 year old that will be there for him when he needs a bed pan etc, is probably in for a rude awakening. Meanwhile, if you get a woman OLDER than 25 who is ready to settle down and is ready for life (the real world of grounups) - the foundation of such I think begins AFTER 25.

There are many types of women over 30, but lets focus on two general overviews here: The single, never married, no kids and wants to. Then there's the once married, has children, career and good job. Both types will still want to make way for her future regardless of how many years the man is her senior or junior. The point is that at that age a woman is not looking to be a passing trend or is looking for 'stepping stones' she should be solid on her own ground already. She knows how to hold on to handle of life and lift her feet up - she just needs the company for the journey.

I wont change adult diapers unless I was there long before and I saw it working prior to it going down!!

you know MAR I have a buddy who is dominican here that I worked with. He met a woman that was 48 who looked fantastic and they dated for a long time. he is 25 but told her he was 29. She eventually broke it off because she didnt like the idea of dating someone so much younger...even though she really fell for him...(good thign she didnt know his real age!!)

she openly talked about....he is TOOOO young for me!!

so in her mind she was either embarrased, or there were things in her life that maybe she felt he didnt fit in with or understand....

but in the end it was all about the age difference that pushed her away from him.

he really liked her too!!
