Once popular clown is sentenced to 12 years in jail for child abuse

At the First Collegiate Court of the Judicial District of Santiago, the judges sentenced Kelvin Francisco Nuñez Morel (Kanqui the clown) to 12 years in jail for sexually abusing minors. The public prosecutors had requested 20 years against Núñez Morel. On Tuesday, 8 June 2021, the court also ordered him to pay a fine of RD$200,000 and compensation of RD$2 million to the victims.

Clown Kanqui was arrested after victims accused him of sexual abuse during a television report by Addys Burgos of CDN, Channel 37.

He is serving the sentence in Rafey Jail in Santiago.

I didn't follow this case like I've followed others in recent years.
If he is guilty, 12 years is not enough time as those kids he abused
will be in their early 20's when he's released and under no circumstances
should this individual be allowed to have his freedom back at that time.
