Pet Friendly Hotel in Santo Domingo

Sorry if the question has already been asked, but cannot find the answer.

Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced, pet friendly hotel (well-behaved chihuahua) in or near the Colonial Zone?

Well we used to use Dona Elviria as it is pet friendly, not fancy but good. I think a little pricy but they will make sure Perra does not get away. Ask for a resident discount !

Thanks for your help everyone. My friend and travelling companion has decided to leave her pup with a neighbour as we weren't making much progress, but good to know for future reference.

I doubt that I'll ever be taking Miss Shrek (my not very well-behaved Dominican kitty) down to the big city, but if ever I change my mind, good to know about the cat friendly hotel.
